Why is Power Platform useful for businesses today?

Low-code transformation with Power Platform can help businesses adapt and grow to meet the demands of a "digital everything" world. It goes without saying that the COVID-19 crisis has rapidly changed the way we live and work. This new reality demands flexibility and transformation. Organizations need to adapt their existing processes and operations to meet a “digital everything” world in order to meet their customer’s new needs and expectations.

Software development takes time: At the same time, building software and systems is time consuming and expensive. There are high monetary costs associated with building and maintenance of home grown software. Furthermore, building every project from scratch burns up resources on low-value added development activities.

Surging digital demand: The demand for digital technology has surged over the past few years and the pandemic has only heightened the need for solutions that are faster, simpler, and easily available. The need for tech-savvy solutions exists across sectors and industries. Businesses need better systems to make sense of their data, utilize applications that streamline their operations, and provide better employee support and customer service, however, it’s becoming hard for businesses to meet all of these requests with the resources on hand today.

Security and compliance risks: Lastly, building software in house brings with it a host of security and compliance considerations that require extensive upfront investments to ensure that applications run seamlessly and face no regulatory problems, hack or data breach threats.

What businesses need today is a high productivity, low-code development platform that helps organizations of all sizes adapt and respond to rapid developments in real time. Rather than trying to turn everyone into a developer or invest heavily in building software in house, employing low-code development can help address these challenges and close the skills gap that exceeds the current enterprise capabilities.

What prevents us from doing our best work, even with all of the technology and data at our disposal?

Think about the amount of effort that submitting expenses or opening a purchase order takes in contrast to the value that that effort adds. Then think of that on an organizational level: How much time is spent manually taking information from one system and entering it into another?

The resolution to these challenges is shifting the focus of transforming how we work from an app and tool based approach to a human-centric approach, where technology serves the purpose of helping people accomplish more without doing more.

With Microsoft Power Platform — analyze data, build solutions, automate processes and create virtual agents. You will see the speed at which you can create simple Power Apps and learn about the abilities to create full line of business solutions as well.
